As an intergenerational program, we welcome all participants ages 8 and up to share this learning experience together. Curtis will guide a 2-part workshop that explores painting.
Session One, Nov 2: How Does Your Tree Grow?
Painters will explore colors and the concepts on how organic objects, such as a tree growing, can be used as a metaphor in life. We all grow differently and beautifully.
Session Two, Nov 9: Pictures Speak
Painters will be exploring colors, shapes, and the concepts on how pictures can speak a thousand words. We’ll use text, music, and images to express how we feel, what we like/dislike, and what makes us feel good. This at will be used as reminders on how to "BE GREAT!" Positive affirmations will be used to boost self-esteem and inspire peers to dare to be different and still be supportive of one another.
