We will learn about starting seeds indoors (and at home) and tips and tricks for getting healthy seedlings. Participants will leave with seeds to plant and the knowledge to care for them!
Our Grow Your Garden series will include hands-on learning about different gardening techniques, time to practice a new skill, and take-home supplies. This series is open to any age child or children and their family members and is aimed at giving new and experienced young gardeners space to learn from the gardening community Registration is appreciated so that enough materials can be prepared!
Learn how to start vegetables, flowers, herbs, and landscape plants from seed! With help from local community members, library gardener Stephanie will walk participants through the best ways to start seeds, where to find resources, and plant seedlings in pots or beds for our Community Garden. You'll leave with a selection of seeds to start at home! No previous gardening experience is necessary-just an enthusiasm for learning. Don’t have enough space outdoors to garden? Don’t worry-all the lessons can be learned and used in our community garden.

The historical downtown library on Michigan Ave. is our oldest branch. It has two meeting rooms and an outdoor plaza.
