Join library gardener Stephanie and local master gardener Holly Preston to learn more about pollinators, their habitats, and how gardens can help the local pollinator population.
Join library gardener Stephanie and local master gardener Holly Preston as we dive into the world of pollination and learn more about the pollinators that live in our backyards. Not every pollinator is a bee! Using what we learn together we will then design our own pollinator gardens and draw them out. As a group we will then decide what we want to put into the library’s Pollinator Garden that needs to be replanted this spring! Each student will then make their own pollinator waterer that can be placed in a spot at home or in the library’s gardening spaces.
Our Grow Your Garden series will include hands-on learning about different gardening techniques, time to practice a new skill, and take-home supplies. This series is open to any age child or children and their family members and is aimed at giving new and experienced young gardeners space to learn from the gardening community. Registration is appreciated so that enough materials can be prepared!
