Celebrate National Poetry Month with YpsiWrites at this beginner-level poetry workshop.
Celebrate National Poetry Month with YpsiWrites at this beginner-level poetry workshop! Participants will learn about and try out a number of key poetic devices and will leave the workshop with new ways to get their ideas onto the page. The workshop will include a focus on the potential for poetry to help a writer unpack tough past experiences and will feature Ypsilanti poet Michelle Lietz, author of Occasionally Petty. No poetry experience is necessary and all skill levels are welcome. An advanced workshop will take place on Saturday, April 29, at 1 pm.
Take both workshops to jumpstart your inner poet! Presented in Partnership with YpsiWrites.
We'll send you the Zoom meeting information a few days before the program date.
