The hexagon symbolizes interdependence. Make a hexagon to add to the lighted community collage and create simple bottle luminaries. Bring your light to ypsiGLOW on October 29th! All ages welcome!
The hexagon shape is a symbol of interdependence, of how we are all connected and affect each other. When hexagons are joined, they increase in strength, efficiency, and can infinitely expand. Contribute to large and small hexagon honeycomb arrangements by creating a 2d hexagon luminary that will be added to GLOWing public art arrangements at the library and all over Ypsilanti for ypsiGLOW. We will also make very easy luminaries out of 2 liter bottles that can be carried or mounted on a dowel. All supplies provided. All ages are welcome to most workshops. Additional GLOW art workshops will be held throughout the community through October, culminating in ypsiGLOW on Friday, October 29, 2021 from 5 to 9pm – Downtown, Depot Town, West Cross downtown areas and wherever you want to GLOW!
