Collect wild seeds and learn about the work Washtenaw County Parks does to re-establish this globally rare habitat while you walk at Rolling Hills Park. Take seeds home, or leave them to share!
Enjoy the beautiful russet and gold of the late autumn prairie as we collect wild seeds and learn about the work at Washtenaw County Parks to re-establish this globally rare habitat. If you are restoring your own prairie, you can collect seeds to take home, or you can leave the seeds with us to share with others.
This walk will be on level paved trails, all ages and abilities are welcome. Park gate entry will be free for this program. Program led by Parks Naturalist Shawn Severance.
Teens who gather and share seeds can earn 1.5 hours of volunteer time through the library. Email jodi@ypsilibrary.org with questions.
