Drop in over Spring Break for hands-on activities related to this year's Family Read, Little Monarchs. Make friendship bracelets, agamorgraphs, blackberry pies, constellations, and upcycled art.
Mar 25: Knot Tying: Practice tying knots, then use those skills to make friendship bracelets.
Mar 26: Constellations: Make constellations with pipe cleaners and beads, and learn about how to use the night sky to navigate.
Mar 27: Creative Conservationists: Join Doodles Academy to scientifically draw endangered animal figurines from observation. Then use facts about the animals' habitat and the impacts of climate change to create two backgrounds for their drawing: now and the future to create an agamograph, a visual artwork/optical illusion that presents two different habitat scenarios based on the angle of view.
Mar 28: Upcycled Art: Make art from reused materials with SCRAP Creative Reuse.
Mar 29: Mini Blackberry Pies: Use the recipe in the book to make a small pie to take home.
